In West African and Afro-Cuban culture, music and dance directly reflect the spirit of the community. The social, political, and cultural values shared come to life through celebrations of rhythm, song and movement performed by the people. This semester African Rhythms Drum and Dance Troupe highlights the spirit of a very important role in the modern community--the female warrior.
